Privacy Policy

Patricia Marks Family Historian is a sole trader and, as such, I am the only person in my business who handles, or has access to, the personal data of my clients.

I am aware of my responsibilities under the Data Protection Act 1998 and the
EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018.

At the enquiry stage of a project, prospective clients provide me with personal data; this is usually confined to name, address and telephone number and email address. This information will be used solely to research and report on a family history project that the client has commissioned. This also applies to the personal data of any living individual that the client may provide me with.

All personal data is stored on my computer, to which only I have access, and is password protected. Personal data may also be stored on paper and kept in a locked filing cabinet.

I use MailerLite as a third - party provider to send newsletters to my subscribers. They may collect and process your data using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter.
